This project was my favorite of all! I had the opportunity to work along side my best friend and business partner Joe Mooney, Mooney Construction. I have spent many years watching the changes of this home and I now had the privalege to be apart of the finishing touch of an addition and facelift. The family had always wanted a great room off of the kitchen, so we took the existing garage and pulled it forward to make the old garage location the new entertaining family room. This room has a great bar and beautiful limestone fireplace that always has a crackling fire. I added my favorite touch of the tongue and groove paneling around the fireplace, on the existing vaulted ceiling in the nook and as a back splash on the newly reworked butlers pantry. My friend also wanted to update the look of the kitchen so I reworked the island to have more leg room for seating along with a fresh coat of paint on the old cherry cabinetry. Also added was a new brushed marble tile splash and fun library lights over each existing window. The revamping of the butlers pantry involved pulling it forward along with the garage allowed us to rework the existing desk, add a closet and a beautiful run of cabinetry for friends to drop platters and party supplies on their way in. The gorgeous tumbled blue stone invites everyone into this fun family friendly home.
